Histology Core Facility

Function

The Brody School of Medicine Histology Core is located in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology (7W58). The Core offers a wide range of histology services to support biomedical research of investigators from Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University, and other academic institutions. Our Core staff is experienced in processing tissues from all species used in biomedical research. We provide essential paraffin and OCT histology services as well as various types of histological stains. In addition, the Core can generate high-resolution scans of histological slides. These scans are publication-ready and can be distributed nationwide for pathological evaluation.
